Two performances of Austensibility by Llandinam Drama Group in May 2017 helped to raise £500 for Wales Air Ambulance Charity.
Change of Publisher for some plays
Four of my One Act plays ( The Worst Day of My Life, Mr Perfect, The Spy Who Came in for the Phone & When a Man Knows) previously published by New Theatre Publications, are currently being transferred to Stagescripts Ltd. Another two previously unpublished plays (Accommodation Haunted & Bright Lights) will be added to the Stagescripts Ltd catalogue. As of 1st of March, 2017, the performing rights are handled by Stagescripts, but reading copies of the above mentioned plays can still only be obtained directly from me. I will update this information as soon as the scripts are available from Stagescripts.
Celebrating Jane Austen’s 200th anniversary
2017 marks the 200th anniversary of the death of Jane Austen in 1817. My dramatised reading Austensibility will join the celebrations, having been chosen for private readings by Jane Austen Societies in the USA, Canada and Australia, and public performances by drama groups in Oxfordshire, Kent, West Yorkshire and Wales.
New One Act Play Bright Lights
Following its first performance by the Mercators in the S.C.D.A. One Act Festival in February 2016, my latest play is now available. It’s a caustic comedy with three substantial roles.
My latest Dramatised Reading, celebrating the life and works of Jane Austen and premièred at the 2015 Edinburgh Festival Fringe is now available.
A recent addition to my Dramatised Readings featuring three of the most famous (and sometimes infamous) poets of the early 19th century English romantic movement, Byron, Shelley and Keats,
World première for Accommodation Haunted and performance number One Thousand!
October 2013 saw the first performance of "Accommodation Haunted" by Elliot Lake Amateur Theatre Ensemble, Ontario, Canada. The second of their two performances also reached the milestone of a total of one thousand worldwide performances of all my plays.
New One Act Play Accommodation Haunted is now available
I've always fancied doing a ghost story... and this is it. I had intended to do something very serious, but it ended up as a comedy for one man and three women, although it does have its darker moments. The simple setting is a small office. The one male character and one of the female characters are major roles who are on stage for most of the play. The other two female roles are smaller, but both have their moments.
